Concert Makeup Assignment
NEED TO MISS A CONCERT? We know that our singers and their families are busy people with many exciting things going on! Please remember our concert attendance policy outlined in the Chorus Syllabus. Absences affect our whole choral group!
KEY POINTS :-Please submit your planned absence notices via email at least a week ahead of time ([email protected]). This needs to happen at least a week before the concert for anything but illnesses and family emergencies.
-For emergency illnesses and other situations, please email as soon as possible.
***after emails are received, an assignment will be created in Canvas for your child to complete.
-All make-up assignments are due by the date noted on the Canvas assignment. This is usually one week from the concert date. Keep in mind the Fulton County Schools late assignment policy and turn in work on time.
MAKE-UP ASSIGNMENT:-All Required Performances other than LGPE: The student should make a video recording of each of their grade-level’s repertoire from memory. The student should wear their uniform and pay close attention to tone, pitch, rhythm, diction, interpretation, and performance skills.
In addition, the student should write a one-page reflection that explores successes and ideas for continued growth. This can be hand-written and photographed or created in Microsoft Word - 12pt font.
-LGPE (Large Group Performance Evaluation - our state evaluation for music programs): The student should complete the assignment detailed above. In addition, the student should arrange a time to sight-read individually for Ms. Edwards. This must be complete by a week after the LGPE performance date.
